• All steel grade C nut offers a proven, predictable torque-tension relationship in critical, high strength applications with Grade 8 bolts.
• Six dots at 60° intervals on the crown of the nut identify these as a grade C prevailing torque nut.
• Three point top thread deflections (at 120° intervals in the crown of the nut), downward and inward is used to produce positive repeated prevailing torque, meaning they are reusable even when power driven.
• Cadmium and wax finish.
• Immersed in industrial wax and baked dry for reduced application torque of up to 50% of standard "dry" torque values. Failure to lower torque will result in thread stripping or bolt yield.
