Note: With this type of wrench, it is important that the correct size wrench is used for each specific filter. The wrench functions by grabbing flush to the filter. After the handle is fully extended. There should not be any gaps between the wrench ‘strap’ and the oil filter. If there are any gap at all the handles will take the pressure instead of the strapping and begin to bend and contort. When the strapping and filter are flush the pressure is placed only on the filter and the strapping and not the handle.
